Kotaku reports that they received an invitation to an event in May where they'll see a portion of the Zerg campaign. Woohoo! Sadly though, this means that SC2:HotS won't be hitting the stores for about a year.
At least it will be a summer-ish release, unlike past WoW expansions.
I hate standing in line during the winter. :P

Things all modern video games should have.
Video games have come a long way from their humble beginnings. And I'm old enough to have experienced most of the ups and downs along the way. The graphics are incredible, sometimes very realistic, and bigger budgets have lead to people getting very creative in designing new video games.
But there are issues, things that game developers and publishers seem to miss, or worse, forget, and when that happens, you end up with poor video games. So here is a listing of things that I think should always be considered when a new game is created.

Basics up and running...
Created a twitter account, just because so many gaming companies and gaming geeks churn out lots of interesting stuff using Twitter. Need some way to keep track.
The layout is a work in progress, and my how Blogger has refined and smoothed out it's inner workings. I do like the changes I've discovered since the last time I was here.

So, I have returned.
I used to blog a bit back in the day. The heady days of 2004 - 2006, when Rise of Nations was the new RTS on the block. Well, she'd been around for a bit, but she was still going strong. After Rise of Legends seemed to flop, I was done RTS games for a while, and got caught up more in World of WarCraft.
But, now I am back. I'm going to blog all about the games I play, and the whys, hows, wheres and whens. Write what you know, they say, and I know games.
The blog won't be limited to just video games this time, I'll also add in roleplaying game stuff, and board games as well. Board games is a rather nebulous category in which I lump card games and other games that you play with stuff.
Here's to 2011 and a fresh start.
